this is a story about four warriors that save the forest...(like TNP)
Prologue:
Shadowpelt walked up to Riverheart."Is this really your choice?"He asked incredulously. "You know what happened last time we did that! They'll DIE!"His eyes were pleading.
"I can not tell a lie. I love her."Said Riverheart.
"Then why let her die?So you can be together?"His voice shook now.
"Shadowpelt, think! It's better than taking someone else's mate!"
Shadowpelt's eyes widened."You're right!"
Riverheart smiled."So?Does everybody agree?"He looked around and heard murmurs of approval.
A warrior he did not know walked up to him. "You are young."He said."But very wise" Riverheart didn't know what to say."Um...thanks."But the warrior was already leaving.
Shadowpelt walked up to him. "I hope they succeed."He said
Riverheart narrowed his eyes and shook his head.Me too.He thought.Me too.

Chapter 1 Bramblepelt walked back to camp with his jaws full of fresh-kill. He dropped it onto the fresh-kill pile and looked up. His leader, Rowanstar was calling a Clan meeting from the High-tree. Bramblepelt bounded over to sit beside his friend, Cedarfur. And then he was surprised to see Sandpelt, the cat who had been so hostile toward him when they were apprentices, sitting on his other side. "Can I sit here?"She asked. When he nodded she sat down and looked up at Rowanstar. Her best friend, Voletail came to sit beside her, but she blocked his way with her tail. "You are not welcome here."She said, surprising him even more. "He does not want you here."She flicked her tail at Bramblepelt. Voletail narrowed his eyes at Bramblepelt, then stomped off. Bramblepelt looked at Sandpelt. "Why'd you do that?"He asked. "I think we should get to know each other."as she said it, she pushed up against him. Their fur was touching, and she blinked up at him kindly. She...she likes me now?He thought. Wait! She's pushing up against me.That's not right. He swallowed. He looked at Cedarfur, and Cedarfur looked back. "Are you mad?Just being nice to her all of a sudden?" "She-"He never got to finish, because Rowanstar started talking: "We have a ceremony to perform.Brightpaw, come forward." Brightpaw, Bramblepelt's sister hopped forward . Rowanstar continued:"Brightpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, even at the cost of your life?" Brightpaw wriggled a little. "I do."She said. "Then I give you your warrior name.Brightpaw from this moment you will be known as Brighttail.StarClan honors your loyalty and strength, and we welcome you to be a full warrior of RiverClan! You will sit your vigil tonight." " Brighttail!Brighttail!"Everybody chanted her name. Bramblepelt went to congratulate her. But before he could, he saw a big brown shape in one of the bushes. Father? He blinked, and it was gone.

Chapter 2 Bramblepelt stalked forward. The mouse was a tail-length away. He was about to pounce when he heard rapid paw-steps behind him.The mouse heard and scurried away. Bramblepelt whirled around, SO MAD!!! "WHAT'D YOU DO THAT FOR??!!"he said, fuming. There, standing very gracefully, was a deep black she-cat. Her tail, ears, forepaws, and muzzle were white. Perfect, almost glowing...SHIMMERING, whit. Her eyes were a striking blue color.....yet...so blue...almost...PURPLE....Bramblepelt had never seen such eyes...it HURT, just looking at them. She was so beautiful...he could do nothing but stare. Finally, he came to his senses. "Who are you?", he asked. When she spoke, her voice was soft, and almost as beautiful as her appearance."I am Deepheart."she said. Deepheart...what a beautiful name. "Sorry for yelling at you before. What do you want?"he said. "To talk to you..."said Deepheart. To talk to ME?thought Bramblepelt. This MUST be a dream... "The forest is in danger! You must save it!StarClan has sent me to tell you...I'm not supposed to tell you THIS, but..."She looked at him fondly."I have a feeling..."Deepheart's voice came as a whisper now. "A cat from each Clan has been sent this message...from different cats, of course..."she added. "Please don't tell just ANYBODY about this, though...maybe someone you REALLY TRUST, but not ANYBODY...okay?" she said, and smiled...(can cats smile?) ...(well, if they can... It was a beautiful smile...so beautiful...ah... "Okay..."said Bramblepelt. He would listen to her if she said to jump in the deep, churning water of the creek. "Thank you."she said. She began fading, away...away... "Wait! Don't go!!!"said Bramblepelt. He panicked "I must...you must wake up...save the forest...I will guide you!Good-bye!"she vanished. I will guide you. her words echoed in Bramblepelt's head. Time to wake up. If she guides me...I'll do anything.Time to wake up....He thought.

Chapter 3- Bramblepelt woke up, his eyes tired, blinking, to find the lean body of Leafheart looking straight into his face, blinking kindly. It surprised him at first. He screamed. "Whoah..."he sat up, and yawned."Don't DO that! You about scared my FUR OFF!"he panted. "Sorry,"Leafheart backed up. "You were making...weird noises in your sleep...almost like muttering...but it WASN'T muttering..." "Oh, sorry,"he said."I just had a dream..." "I just wondered if you were okay."Leafheart tilted her head to one side. "Hey, listen...will you take a walk with me? I want to tell you something..."
Bramblepelt stared. His heart was racing. Before the dream of Deepheart, he had cared very strongly for Leafheart, and wondered what she wanted to tell him. "Bramblepelt? Are you sure you're okay? You're just staring at me..."Leafheart's voice cut into his thoughts. "Oh, sorry. Sure, let's take a walk...but let's eat first." They each got a vole from the fresh-kill pile, and sat down to eat. Then they left the camp, walking in the bushes. "Okay, listen..."Leafheart said."I had a weird dream last night. A cat, Deepheart, came and told me-" Bramblepelt breathed in sharply. "-told you that a cat from each Clan has been chosen to save the forest?! I did too!" Leafheart looked shocked. "I'm not sure about the "a cat from each Clan" part, but she told me to save the forest."
Bramblepelt's eyes widened. Then realization hit him. He looked down. "What?"said Leafheart. "That's what you wanted to tell me, wasn't it?"he said. "Yes, but don't tell anybody else, Deepheart said--" "But you told me, without knowing I was chosen."Bramblepelt's heart lightened. "Yes..."said Leafheart in an unsure way. "Why do you--OH BRAMBLEPELT!" she said, finally realizing what Bramblepelt was thinking. "Yes! Yes! But that can't happen until we save the forest..." Bramblepelt looked up. "Come on, let's take a walk around the river, maybe hunt..."

Chapter 4 After hunting with Leafheart, Bramblepelt hung back, sitting on a rock, thinking about the cat who had been hunting with him for the longest of time. He was battling with a voice inside his head about Leafheart. She said she did!, thought Bramblepelt. But she's Cedarfur's SISTER!said the voice. This was true...yet why should Bramblepelt care? Because Cedarfur will be mad, and things will be too awkward between you...said the voice. Bramblepelt thought he was being pulled down by the voice, it was too knowing...it was right... But maybe if he talked to Cedarfur... He was now plunging deep into the ferns and reeds that surrounded the camp, placing the fresh-kill he had caught on the pile. "Hey, Bramblepelt!" Bramblepelt looked over his shoulder. There was no time to argue, he had to do it now: Cedarfur was heading toward him. "Where have you been? I've been looking everywhere, Leafheart's gone too! I was looking for her, Fernflower's been looking for her. " "Okay,"Bramblepelt sighed, "first, yes, Leafheart is right outside the camp, I saw her when I came in. Second, I was hunting. Third, we need to talk..." "Okay...did I do something?"asked Cedarfur. Bramblepelt led him over to a corner, turned around, and looked Cedarfur straight in the eye. "I wanted to-"he began, but someone's smooth tongue rasped over his right ear, and a badly disguised voice said, "Guess who, Brambley-poo!" Bramblepelt was shocked. What did she think she was doing?! And-'Brambley-poo'? Could she think of a more embarrassing name?! "What the h-?!"Cedarfur began in a disgusted, confused voice. "Come over here, let's talk!"said Leafheart to her brother. Cedarfur followed. Bramblepelt was glued to the spot. How could she do that, just when he had been about to explain! Bramblepelt started walking. He had no idea where, but the next thing he knows, he's walking out of camp again. He stopped. He heard arguing... "...I'll do what I want! You can't stop me!"said a shrill she-cat voice. "You can't have HIM though, he's my best friend!"said an even shriller, if possible, tom's voice. "I don't care what you think, he obviously likes me back, or I wouldn't be saying this!"said the first voice. "If he liked you back, he wouldn't have winced when you licked him!" "He didn't wince, he was just surprised!"said the first voice, sounding offended. "More like disgusted!" Bramblepelt did not know who they were, but he didn't want to butt in...he walked out of camp... "...Bramblepelt is the..." Bramblepelt looked up; he had heard his own name. Then a she-cat pelted out of a bush, looking thoroughly devistated, and who was crying...(ooc: if cats can cry) Bramblepelt recognized Leafheart at once, and pelted out of camp, into the dusk light, Leafheart calling after him.

Chapter 5 Brambleheart trotted back to camp much, much later with prey in his mouth. He looked up. The moon was as close to full without being full as possible. Tommorrow was the full moon, the Gathering. "Bramblepelt,"came a voice from behind, "what are you doing out here so late?" Bramblepelt turned around to see the Medicine cat, Whitefoot, behind him, looking very exsausted for some reason. "Er..."Bramblepelt didn't know why SHE was out here so late. The small white cat narrowed her eyes suspiciously. "You were just hunting, weren't you?"she said, emphasis on 'just hunting'. "Actually, yes, I just needed to get away from the Clan for awhile. What about you, the medicine cat, out at night?" "Same here: the Clan has just been too busy..."Whitefoot closed her eyes and shook her head. "Wait, let me get this straight:you went for a walk in the middle of the night, to get away from the Clan because its too busy, who would all be sleeping now?"he had the feeling Whitefoot was lying. "Yes! Exactly!"said Whitefoot happily. "Wait, that didn't come out right..." "No, it didn't, did it? Why are you lying?"said Bramblepelt firmly. Whitefoot looked up guiltily. "Is it that obvious?"she said. "Well, considering your story made no sense...yes!" "Umm...I have to go...sort my herbs, bye!"Whitefoot scrambled past him into camp. What was Whitefoot hiding? Bramblepelt followed her scent trail to the border. She was obviously heading...to the Moonstone!

The next day passed by very fast. Finally, it was time to go to the Gathering. He padded into the group of warriors, searching for Cedarfur, when a cat behind him called, "Hi Bramblepelt!" Bramblepelt looked around. It was Leafheart. "Oh, hi."he said. "Have you seen Cedarfur?" "Yeah, he's staying here tonight,"she said. "Really? He said he was going..."Bramblepelt was totally baffled. Leafheart blinked."Oh, he was going, but Rowanstar told him he should stay." "Oh, okay."Bramblepelt said, as Sandpelt walked over. "Hi,"he said to her. "Hi,"she said impatiently."Bramblepelt, are you CHEATING on me?" "Er...what?" "You know what I said! Are-you-cheating-on-me?" "Uh...I didn't exactly know I could be cheating with you...Whadda you mean?"Bramblepelt felt there were going to be claws... "Bramblepelt! You-you-YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO HATE HER!!!"said Leafheart, offended. "I..."he said,"do hate her"he whispered. "Oh? REALLY?"she said. All of a sudden, light orange tabby and brown tabby were flying at each other, claws sheathed. They rolled around on the ground for a moment, everyone gaping at them, until Bramblepelt heard a cat call, "Over here, Rowanstar." The she-cats still fought on the ground. Bramblepelt looked quickly around. Cats stood around him, still gaping. But the leader, Rowanstar, stood at the edge now, with a sneer on his face. "What's going on here?"he snarled. The cats still rolled around."STOP!!"he yowled. Everyone stopped moving, even the wind stopped blowing. They all looked at Rowanstar now.

Chapter 7 The two cats on the ground got up, their eyes wide. Rowanstar looked at them furiously. "What is going on here??!!"he snarled. "It's kinda private...I don't really want anyone to know..." muttered Leafheart shyly. "Well we're ALL gonna know!"roared Rowanstar. "WHAT HAPPENED!??!!" Sandpelt just stood there boldy, but when Rowanstar looked at her severely, Leafheart stepped forward, about to open her mouth to tell him, when Whitefoot stepped up. "Please, Rowanstar, they obviously don't want the whole Clan to know their problem, maybe we could just...ask them...after...the Gathering?"she said shyly. "Fine, but only because it may make StarClan angry if we don't go over two young, unimportant she-cats." I don't know about Sandpelt, but Leafheart had that same dream, she's not normal if StarClan chose her to save the whole forest, thought Bramblepelt. They walked on. The Gathering went by without asny major changes, and before he knew it, Bramblepelt was back at camp. "Leafheart, Sandpelt, come,"said Rowanstar. He walked into his den, Leafheart and Sandpelt following. Bramblepelt went over to the fresh-kill pile and chose a small mouse. He ate it swiftly. A few minutes later, Rowanstar called Bramblepelt into his den.

Chapter 8
Bramblepelt couldn't believe the two she-cats would bring him into this!He stood up and padded into the den anyway. His ears twitched at all the cats watching him in amazement. Of course they could probably guess what happened. He stood inside Rowanstar's den with the two she-cats, who were glaring at eachother. Rowanstar whipped around to face them all. "Okay, whatever mating problems you have, work them out amongst yourselves in here." "Ok, Bramblepelt. I...you..."Leafheart tried to say. Bramblepelt knew exactly what she meant, and apparently, so did Sandpelt. Rowanstar, however, had no clue. He just stood there looking flustered. Whitefoot padded in quietly. She whispered something in Rowanstar's ear, then left shyly. Rowanstar followed. "Ok, Sandpelt,"he started, taking a deep breath,"I never said I wanted you for a mate. I love Leafheart! Ok?"He was so embarrassed! "Ok, Bramblepelt."Sanpelt said sweetly. Then she stormed out of the den. "So...everything's ok between us?"said Leafheart shyly. "Yes."said Bramblepelt quietly. "So...what do we do now?"Leafheart asked. "Well, first, we find out more about that prophecy. Then, whatever we want."Bramblepelt was determined to find out more about these strange dreams.
